madrid montessori

admissions & fees

Choosing a school for your child is a very personal decision requiring thoughtful consideration. If you are considering Madrid Montessori for your child, we would like you to have a comprehensive understanding of the Montessori method and our school’s educational project.

For this reason, we ask that families go through each of the following steps in our application process:

1. attend an open house

If you are intrigued by what you have already learned about Madrid Montessori please contact us to reserve a place in our next Open Houses, Tuesday 29th of November and on Tuesday 31st of January. (9:30 to 11:00). To request a place please send the atendees names, phone number, name & date of birth of your child and the preferred date to info@madridmontessori.org. Due to COVID, this open house may be on Zoom. Regardless, please reserve your place and we will send you logistics closer to the date.

2. submit your application

If you feel that our school matches what you are looking to offer your child, please download the application form and send it to our address (indicated in application form), along with a non-refundable administrative fee of 150€ to our Ibercaja account:

IBAN: ES1020859284190330303383

BIC: CAZRES2Z

Item: Application_"name of child"

Please note that submitting the application form does not guarantee your child a place in the following school year.

3. follow up appointment

After we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a follow-up appointment and classroom observation as well as an interview with the Director.

4. notification

If we have a place to offer your child, you will be notified after March 15th. Once the formal admission offer has been made, you will receive a deadline in order to reserve a place. We only accept applications for students who will begin school in the following school year. For example, applications for 2023-24 are accepted in the school year 2022-23.

Some parents enquire about our admission criteria. Our decisions are largely based on the family’s long-term commitment to the completion of the Montessori program.

As a small school we anticipate a limited number of places each year. But being an international school with mobile families, we occasionally have openings during the school year. We keep a waiting list to draw from when these places become available. Applications can be submitted throughout the year, but only those received by February 10th are guaranteed full consideration.

Every year we start the admission's process from scratch. Families on the waiting list who have not been given a place for that school year and would like to re-apply for the following school year, should contact the school to re-apply.
